J A Y M I C H A E L S C O T T
* you're the voice i hear inside my head; the reason that i'm singing .
HEY THERE. THE NAME IS CHEY, AND I AM FIFTEEN.
I'VE BEEN ROLEPLAYING FOR ABOUT FOUR YEARS
AND MY OTHER CHARACTERSWOULD BE NONE.
- - - - birthday, June 30th
- - - - gender, male
- - - - age, eighteen
- - - - sexuality, heterosexual
- - - - talent, singer/counselor
[/ul][/ul]
- - - - eyes, light-brown, almond shaped
- - - - hair, Sort of black, if not a very dark brown, curly, maybe just a little long but not too long; he can't stand long hair.
- - - - built, sort of an average eighteen year old male build, with a just a few muscles to complete his look.
- - - - weight, About 130 lbs.
- - - - height, 5'10
- - - - fashion sense, It's no secret that Jay is the male equivalent of a diva. Dark skinny jeans, v-neck tees, and leather jackets. Not to mention his tendency to care more about his looks than others around him. He's always flipping his hair around, and if he isn't doing that he is looking at himself in a mirror.
[/ul][/ul]
Conceitedness is another trait. He likes to stare at himself in any free moment he has, and spends almost too much time obsessing over his looks. He's good looking, and he obviously knows it. After all, it takes time to look as good as Jay. He is like a male diva or drama queen, he thinks he is the king of everything and everyone around him and he doesn't care who knows it. And hey, occasionally he doesn't mind stirring up some drama around the camp. As long as you at least acknowledge how good looking Jay is and let him know that you have, he probably won't give you as hard as a time as he could.
So sure, he's mean, rude, and conceited but every person has a soft side. Jay's just happens to be toward those who are very close to him and hold a special place in his heart. To those very few lucky people, he is openly nice and kind and he is open to them about most things in his life. One person whom he thought once held a very big, special part of his heart was his ex-girlfriend Corinne Ray but he isn't sure how he feels anymore. That prooves that underneath all the rudeness and conceitedness on the outside, not only is Jay soft and occasionally kind hearted, but he also can be hurt just like any other human being. He just doesn't let it show.

Elizabeth Reynolds, 49, professional dance studio owner (seperated from Ethan Scott, remarried another man)
- - - - siblings, N/A
- - - - overall history, Alright, so obviously Ethan met Elizabeth. As to how though, is pretty important. They met each other at a gentleman's club in Los Angeles when Elizabeth worked there at that time. A few drinks, a short car ride back to Ethan's apartment, and bang! Nine months later Jay Michael Scott was born. Ethan, being a big time record producer, was never home and never really did his share to take care of his new son. Elizabeth was now jobless because Ethan felt that her job as a stripper wasn't appropriate for a mother of a new child, so she was forced to quit and stay home. Elizabeth was left to raise young Jay by herself.
Growing up, Jay was given the luxuries in life. He would always have the latest toy because his father would always bring some new gadget home from work for his son to play with. It seemed that was the only thing Ethan knew how to do for Jay. Either way, Jay was grateful his dad at least cared, because it really didn't bother him. When Jay was six, his mother realized that their tendency to spoil their son wasn't a really good idea. He began to demand certain things or he would throw hissy fits, and that was the last thing Elizabeth wanted so she always gave in to Jay's cries for attention. When he turned eight, Ethan had Jay enrolled in private school because he felt it would be best for his son after all, he was Ethan Scott. He deserved nothing but the best for his son.
Jay found private school obnoxious. He thought school was a huge waste of time, and was trying to convince his mother to let him drop out at the age of ten. Elizabeth had to draw the line. What kind of mother could let her child drop out of school? At the age of ten, no less? She would have no part of it. Instead, she decided to get him something that would help keep his mind more focused, perhaps. She went out to the nearest music store and bought her spoiled son an electric guitar. Jay was actually thrilled, and his mouth literally dropped when his mother came home with the large box in her hands. Looking back, that was really the only time Jay had ever been so thankful and grateful toward his mother. That night when his father got home, he immediately dropped everything he was doing to help teach Jay some guitar notes. More importantly though, Elizabeth and Ethan had been invited to Elizabeth's new boss' dinner. She had had a big interview last week and landed the job, but she was told to bring her husband along as well. Ethan refused, he said he had to stay with Jay and 'bond' with him. Elizabeth attended it by herself. She was basically a nervous wreck without her husband there and didn't get the job.
That was the end of Ethan and Elizabeth's relationship. Jay didn't even see it coming. He had always thought his parents were ok with each other, but then again he never really noticed because his dad was never home and Jay was always thinking about himself instead of others. Jay was twelve when they finally split. He didn't mind it much though. He still got to see his parents; he just lived with his dad most of the time. That really broke his mother's heart, but somehow Ethan just got more of the custody of Jay. This actually made Jay happy because he knew how strict his mother could be, and his father let him get away with almost everything and that was perfect for the approaching teenage years. By thirteen Jay was a heart breaker, even at private school. He had all the girls swooning over him, and he knew it. He was the cute, singing, guitar playing guy with the adorable curly hair. Pretty much every girl's dream. None of those private school rich girls were good enough for him though. So he swore off dating for a long time.
At age fourteen, Jay pretty much mastered guitar. His dad had enrolled him in some expensive, private, and high class guitar lessons class. Then - Elizabeth remarried. Jay got a call one day from his mom, who had moved all the way to Arizona - away from L.A, where Jay lived. She told him that she wanted him to come visit for a few weeks and attend the wedding that was scheduled in two weeks. This was the first time in Jay's life that he felt actual, genuine heartache. How could his mother fall in love with another man? How could she leave Jay for some rich guy? His father was just as good, wasn't he? Honestly, Jay was furious. He just yelled into the phone at his mother, screaming at her about leaving him and his dad for another man and then he hung up. Two days later and Elizabeth had not called back. Usually she called once or twice a day to check up on him, and in those calls never had she mentioned another man. Ethan finally confronted his son and told him that the loyal thing to do was to attend his mother's wedding and support her. He told him it would be the manly thing to do. Jay of course couldn't pass up the opportunity to be manly, plus he was feeling horrible about what he did to his mother.
This other man didn't turn out to be so bad. He was a lawyer for some famous guy...the one in those movies...well, the name isn't important, but he was the lawyer for some big Hollywood guy and boy, did he ever spoil Jay. Jay knew that he would end up liking this guy. The wedding turned out to be pretty fun, and some celebrities even showed up so Jay got to show off even more. Life with the big guys wasn't so bad after all. Then when Jay was sixteen, his mother asked him to come live with them for a while in Arizona. Jay wasn't so sure, after all he loved Hollywood and L.A. and he wasn't sure as to how his father would react. Turned out, Ethan was completely fine with it. So off he was to Arizona where he spent two, long years. In those two years though, nothing really changed. He still attended some private school, he still got to go to big Hollywood parties with his parents, and he felt pretty at home in their big house. Then his step dad surprised him with a surprise trip to a camp...Real Camp Cali. Was he joking? Obviously, Jay would have no part in it. His mother did her best to convince him though, saying it was a type of camp in California for people interested in the arts. That made things a little better, but he was still hesitant to go.
Well, obviously he ended up here anyway. His step dad basically forced him. He put Jay on a plane, sent him to California, and then he took a cab over to the camp. Jay was actually impressed by the camp, it was unlike how he imagined. It was where he met Corine Ray. She was unlike any girl Jay had ever met. He hadn't dated anyone since he was fourteen, and he was eighteen now. He would break that vow though for Corine, he thought she was beautiful. One thing led to another, and the two of them began dating. Corine was the only one that Jay ever showed his soft side to. He treated her like no one else. He really loved her. He was a different person when he was with Corine, he acted nicer to pretty much everyone. Then after a while, the unthinkable happened. Corine broke up with him, and Jay thought he would never be the same. Now he is back to the same old conceited, stuck up Jay Scott he was before.[/ul][/ul]
